To kick off 2024, Blue Chip Casino Hotel Spa has chosen Michiana Humane Society as the recipient of leftover TITO ticket donations for the first quarter of the year.

Michiana Humane Society serves LaPorte County in Indiana and Berrien County in Michigan by caring for nearly 1,000 stray, abandoned and unwanted animals each year. The organization plays a crucial role by providing shelter, food, basic medical care and vaccinations, ensuring each animal receives the best possible chance at a new beginning. With the help of private donations, caring staff members and volunteers, Michiana Humane Society has remained a safe haven for dogs, cats, rabbits and other small animals and has achieved a live release rate well beyond the 90-percent mark.

With the help of guest donations, Blue Chip was able to donate $2,000 to the shelter to further support their mission of giving animals, and the people who love them, a second chance. 

“Blue Chip's donation was a delightful surprise for the Michiana Humane Society,” said Johanna Humbert, Executive Director at Michiana Humane Society. “We have seen a dramatic increase in pets surrendered to us with dental disease and chronic illnesses in the past few years. The donation will help us to fix these pets' problems before they go to new families, giving them the best chance at good health at home.”
